I've been poring over Lifehacker's round-ups of tools all day, and I've concluded I need a new drill and I need a new hammer. Specifically, I need Vanquish's 11oz Titanium Framing Hammer. I already have a hammer, but it's made of steel and weighs nearly a pound and a half—this hammer is Titanium and carbon steel and only weighs 11 ounces. That's about half the weight, as much as two baseballs or a can of soda.
The core shaft and neck are forged from a single piece of heat-treated carbon steel, and Vanquish promises that its hammer delivers 50% more force than a standard steel hammer. The anti-slip grip promises to deaden vibrations, and the overall design results in 30% less recoil. In other words, this is a solid hammer that will terrify all nails.
For Amazon's October Prime Day, Vanquish's hammer is at the lowest price it's sold for all year, $68.79, which is 20% less than the list price of $85.99.
